Morgan! Wow, what can I say about this gal? I have to say she’s beautiful, she’s patient, and oh she’s oh so kind! I first met her three years ago when I photographed her little sister as a newborn, and so when her mom called me to photograph Morgan’s senior photos I was thrilled. They have since moved two hours away but made the trip out to see me which honestly scares me a little. 🙂
We met on a Friday evening and the weather was not too favorable for pictures, Morgan was not feeling well (although you’d never know it from the photos), it was overcast, threatening rain, and actually started raining twice during her session. But we conquered, won, and I am so glad we didn’t give up because the photos turned out beautiful!!!
Check out Morgan, senior class of 2016!
I met Courtney in August in Grand Haven for her senior portraits. I love Grand Haven, there are so many older buildings and ‘photographer’ spots. Some places others’ would look over, but not a photographer 😉 Anyway, it was a great night, the weather was perfect, sunny, a slight breeze, the water, and a girl with the world ahead of her. What more could you ask for? Courtney was a joy to work with, such great conversation, and an amazing head on her shoulders.
Good luck with your senior year, Courtney, and good luck with your future plans! 🙂

She did an amazing job! The camera loves her and I could not have been more happy with how her session turned out. 🙂 God has some big things planned for this young gal and I am thrilled I can say I know her! Good luck on your last year of high school, Lexi!

Karly is one of my senior reps for the 2014 Seniors. She attends Reeths-Puffer High School in Muskegon. During her session I had some time to talk with her and find out her dreams and aspirations for after she graduates. Let me just say that this is a very wise girl with a great head on her shoulders! I wish her all the best in her future achievements. Good luck with your final year of high school, Karly!
For Mitch’s senior shoot we were supposed to meet on a Wednesday in August, but it was actually raining! And for those of you in Michigan, you know we had quite the drought this summer. So while the rain was needed, it sure put a damper on our plans. But…we rescheduled and met the next week, which was fantastic! The weather was amazing and we had such a great sunset!
For more senior pics, check out Jake
Abbi and her mom were such a joy to work with. We spoke on the phone several times before the actual shoot and decided we were going to be doing her photographs at a few locations. The very first location was her grandmother’s house in Heritage Hill, downtown Grand Rapids, and let me tell you, what a beautiful location it was! Abbi’s grandmother’s home was built in the 1800’s (she told me the time frame but I cannot remember), and it was built by an influential physician who started his own pharmaceuticals company. The house had so many original features still in tack, including the grand staircase, all the woodwork, the stained glass windows, the hardwood floors, I could go on and on! It was absolutely amazing! (if you can’t tell, I love all things old, they have so much character and life!)
Abbi has been around bass instruments her whole life, and it was an absolute must to use a bass in some images. Abbi’s grandmother sells bass, violin and viola instruments and Abbi’s father makes bass instruments from scratch, such an amazing art and talent! (www.aaronsinstruments.com) So much talent in one family, amazing!!!!
Jake is a senior at Hudsonville this year and is an avid baseball player. So we had to incorporate baseball into his senior portraits. It wouldn’t be Jake without baseball! I had such a great time with he and his mom. She has four children just like I do and there are so many similarities it’s scary but also nice to know I’m not the only one!!!! 🙂 Those of you who are parents know what I mean 😉 Without further ramblings, here is Jake…
Zoya, Zoe, Zoey…all the names she answers to when called. I am sure there are more her sisters call her, but we’ll leave those ones out! 🙂 I have known Zoey since she was born, she is in fact one of my nieces, and I am sooo proud to call her that!
Zoey had really blossomed into who the Lord would like her to be in the last couple of years. She loves her family, loves her God, is an extremely talented artist…I cannot wait to see where her studies after high school bring her! I think I am as excited about her future as she is <3 Good luck on your future endeavors, Zoya Rochelle! May God bless you in all you do!
Ok, this post is going to make me sound really, really old, but I have known Mycah since she was born! I rushed to the hospital after she made her grand entrance, along with her twin sister, Zoya! I remember there was so much traffic and I couldn’t get there fast enough! Fast forward 17 years and now she is a senior in high school, sniff sniff! I have so many memories of Mycah that if I shared them with you, she might not speak to me again, so I will refrain!
Mycah is a very talented, loving, caring and beautiful young individual with the whole world ahead of her. Good luck on your last year of high school, Mycah! I will be cheering you on with whatever you decide to do in life! Sniff, sniff…gosh, didn’t know I’d need tissue to write this!
