I met with Gerald and Rachele back in May for their maternity photos. Rachele had in mind something bright, with lots of color. I chose this amazing location in “almost” downtown Holland. A place where the trees bloom at just one time per year, and you must hit it right, with great weather, too. We did! And it was amazing!

Savanna was met entering this world by mom & dad, and big sister Marina. She is one lucky gal to have such a loving family. Marina, during the session, was very happy to hold her baby sister for photos, and told us that she was ready to go! We quickly followed her lead because when a two year old tells you they want photos with their new baby, you listen. 😀
Savanna wanted to not miss the party and stayed awake for most of the beginning of the session, but finally slept so we could finish up her lovely photos.
Welcome to the world, sweet Savanna!

It has been so long, almost a year (yikes!) that I photographed Jameson. I have no good excuse as to why I never blogged it besides that I was busy and never did. So now I am going back through my files and getting back in the blog-game. Here is Jameson!
He was an extraordinarily mellow guy who didn’t like to be nakey. 🙂 We kept him wrapped most of the time and since Easter wasn’t too far away, we did some Easter bunny setups. So adorable!
Thank you, Jameson, for being so cute and cuddly, oh, and amazing!! Your parents are pretty cool, too! 😉

I have a nephew, his name is Cale. He’s pretty awesome. He’s a senior. Here are his photos.
We met a night that was perfect for senior photos. The sun was out, no rain, hardly a cloud to be seen. We decided to do some urban photos and skip the beach so we headed into Grand Rapids for the shoot.
I can’t ask for better family to share this life with and I am proud to call Cale my nephew. Good luck, buddy, after graduation in all that you do!

What can I say about the Tackett’s? They are funny. awesome. loving. enjoyable to be around. honest. fun. friendly. loyal. Absolutely everything you’d want in a client, client turned friends. They have some pretty cute kids, too! 🙂
We met at one of my favorite places, a greenhouse. AMAZING! When I own my own piece of land, not only do I need a barn but a greenhouse is on the list as well. My husband jokes that he’s going to need to work two extra years to pay for it. I tell him, “That’s fine. As long as I get my greenhouse!”
Thank you, Tackett Family, for another fun and crazy session. Until next time…

Krystle first contacted me in March of 2017 to inquire about her wedding coming up in June, and when speaking to her it became quite interesting. Krystle and her fiancé, Chris, live in Australia! They both grew up here in Michigan and decided to come back to the States to marry instead of having everyone come across the world. I did tell them that I would have been happy to go to Australia! 😉
I met with the coordinator, and surveyed the grounds of the wedding on a cold and blustery day. I sure was hoping that June would be nicer weather.
I chatted and continued to communicate with Krystle via email and video chat when we could, as Australia is 15 hours ahead of us. We got all details hashed out and were ready for the big day.
I came the night before the wedding to the rehearsal and FINALLY met Krystle & Chris in person, and they were as lovely as I imagined they would be. It was a perfect evening and they were all ready for the next day.
It was the big day! I had never seen a more calm bride & groom before. They were so excited for this day and were really letting everything that was happening sink in to enjoy! I have to say that it was also so nice, after just meeting everyone, to feel so welcomed and loved by them all, right down to grandma and all of the couples’ glorious friends. It was amazing! And to say the day was great is quite an understatement.
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Chris Lowell!!!

My newest buddy, Harrison Jacob, came to visit me at a mere 10 days old. He was so amazing! I didn’t see his eyes for over two hours despite all of the outfit changes. What? I like babies to look cute! And playing dress-up is fun, too! 🙂
Newborns are always a thrill to me. The challenge to capture them and their parents. The thrill of holding a newborn again, since my baby is 6. The honor that you all trust me to capture these fleeting moments for you. Ahhhh, it’s all AHHH-Mazing!
Thank you to Harrison’s parents for letting me do just this. Enjoy these photos for a lifetime.
